Photographing during the night is pure magic! You walk only with your camera and headlamp through the complete darkness in awareness of wild animals like scorpions and snakes. Adjusting your tripod on a potential spot and than you hit the trigger. You could only imagine what the camera will see. Completely excitement!
Here you see a panorama taken near Spitzkoppe in Namibia. I love this fluently abstract lines of the rockformations. For me one of the most remarkable landscape in Namibia. The Quiver Tree Forest near Keetmanshoop in Namibia is a beautiful location! Especially during the starry night. This crazy looking trees are actually no trees but an aloe plant. They are known as "quiver tree" (Afrikaans: kokerboom) because bushmen traditionally used its branches to make quivers.

Photo of the Austrian Alps. A dangerous one! I was standing on a slippery rock inside the river during the total darkness. One failure and you literally say hello to the water. You see upwards to the Taschachferner and the Milky Way. On the right side you can find Michael Schunk. I love the mood of this image.
Thanks Hana for awakening new inspirations.
This Panorama shows the night sky over Cape Town in South Africa. The world famous Table Mountains here covered with clouds works beautiful as a seperator of the untouched right side with the Milky Way Arch and the Atlantic Ocean in contrast to the pulsating world metropolis Cape Town including the enormous light pollution on the left side. Nearly 220 single images blended together and stitched in this panorama.
Shot of the Night Sky at Teide National Park in Tenerife. The foreground with the typical desert like landscape is focus stacked. In the sky you can observe the imposant Galactic Core of our Galaxy and a Falling Star, so make a wish!
Exactly in this moment I realized that people who lived thousand of years ago have seen the same beautiful scenery like we do! That fact fills me with pride. We have to keep the nature clean!
