The most beautiful places in Namibia at sunrise, sunset and during the night. On the trip you will learn everything in terms of the landscape. Night and wildlife photography from the theory of image capture, planning to post-processing. We start with the theoretical and technical basics and apply them in the wonderful and unique Namibia. We discuss the photos together and go into the post-processing. The goal of the trip is to return home with beautiful memories and terrific shots.
Day 1
You will be met by your guide upon arrival in Windhoek and receive your travel documents.
Check in at the Arebusch Lodge.
You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Dinner (extra) at the world famous Joe's Beer House.
Day 2
After breakfast we drive directly south to the Bagatelle Game Ranch.
First game drive in Africa. In the private nature reserve, many different animal species await us, including the shy meerkats.
We end the first evening with a sundowner.
Overnight at Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch.
Day 3
Visit and photograph of cheetahs on Bagatelle.
Drive towards the southwest Kalahari to the quiver tree forest in the immediate vicinity of Keetmanshoop.
Accommodation at Quiver Tree Guest House.
Enjoy and photograph an incredible sunset on the
Playground of the giants.
Followed by night photography under a breathtaking night sky with the
famous quiver trees as a motif.
Day 4
Three-hour drive from Keetmanshoop to Fishriver Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world.
Relax at the luxurious Fishriver Lodge and explore the area.
Night photography session at the canyon.
Day 5
Drive to the port city and starting point of the former German colonization of Lüderitz.
Photography for the afternoon until sunset in the legendary ghost town of Kolmanskop.
Day 6
Drive to Klein Aus Vista to Aus.
Relaxed discussion of the astrophotos already taken as well as hints on how to improve the image of the Milky Way in the night sky.
Sunset game drive to see the wild horses of the Namib Desert.
Night photography at the house of Garub.
Day 7
Panoramic drive to Namib-Naukluft National Park to Sossus Dune Lodge.
Drive to Deadvlei (+- 1.5 hours before or after sunrise/sunset) for photography and sunset and blue hour over the gigantic dunes of the Namib.
Night photography session at the lodge. (Possibility of phenomenal startrail shots)
Day 8
Drive to Deadvlei (+- 1.5 hours before or after sunrise/sunset) for photography and sunrise over the gigantic dunes of the Namib.
Sunset with light and shadow play on the dunes.
Night photography session at the lodge.
Day 9
Sunrise in a hot air balloon (optional extra)
After a leisurely brunch, we head towards Swakopmund.
Enjoy the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean during dinner at The Tug restaurant.
Overnight at Delight Lodge in Swakopmund.
Day 10
Sandwich Harbour Tour or Living Desert Tour in the morning (optional).
Drive to Namibia's Matterhorn, the Spitzkoppe.
Accommodation in the luxurious Spitzkoppen Lodge.
Sunset and astrophotography on abstract rock formations including stone arches.
Day 11

Okonjima Wildlife
For our last stop, we head west to Otjiwarongo to the
Okonjima Plains Camp and the Africat Foundation. The 22,000-hectare
Wildlife reserve, located in the middle of the Namibian bush, the
Foundation mainly around leopards and cheetahs. During our stay
we go leopard tracking and observe the impressive animals
up close.
But of course, Okonjima does not only have the cats to offer, in addition to a variety of antelopes and zebras, giraffes, rhinos and several hyenas live in the large nature reserve. The wildlife photographers will get their money's worth. As a special feature, we will spend a sundowner together with cheetahs, where each participant will get photo opportunities that you don't get in front of the lens on normal trips
Day 13
Departure from Windhoek, Namibia.
For optimal supervision, the maximum number of participants is limited to 6 people.
The minimum number of participants for the tour is 4 people.
The trip is accompanied by the guide Monika Rohda and the photographer Stefan Liebermann realized.
Participation is possible with English or German language skills.

The recommended photo equipment consists of an SLR or system camera with three lenses, a fast wide-angle lens (F < 2.8) einem mittleren Zoombjektiv, einem Teleobjektiv (etwa 300 mm) sowie einem Stativ. Optional empfohlen: Fotofilter und Fernauslöser.

Clothing
Namibia has a very warm climate. Therefore, sunscreen, sunglasses and long and light clothing including headgear are strongly recommended. Since we are also out and about during the night (temperatures between 10°C and 20°C), a jacket + fleece is required. Furthermore, a thin rain jacket is advisable.
Spare socks and hiking boots are recommended.

- Visa/MasterCard credit cards are accepted (you may have problems with American Express).
To book the trip, a deposit of EUR 1700 is required and the balance must be paid up to 30 days before the start of the trip.
If a participant decides to cancel their reservation, they can do so at any time by communicating it as soon as possible through the official email address of one of the two organizers.
However, you should bear in mind that the cancellation by a participant will lead to administrative difficulties in the bookings, as well as the risk of not reaching the minimum number of participants for the trip (and consequently the need to look for a new person).
For this reason:
- If the cancellation is submitted MORE than 60 days (prior to departure), you can get a refund of the booking fee.
- If the cancellation is submitted LESS than 60 days prior to departure, it is NOT possible to receive a refund of the booking fee.
*Unless the customer who wants to cancel their booking brings another person who is willing to take their place by paying the total amount of the trip themselves.
If you are unable to take the tour because your country or region has travel restrictions, you will receive a travel voucher in full.
The entire amount paid (deposit or full fee) will be fully refunded in case of cancellation of the event. Exception: If a pandemic emergency situation leads to the cancellation of the trip within 30 days before the start of the trip due to a travel restriction of the Namibian government, 90% of the travel price will be refunded.
