The photo trip experience is aimed at all photography enthusiasts in Africa. They visit and photograph them
most beautiful places in Namibia at sunrise, sunset and during the night. On the trip you will learn everything related to the landscape. Night and wildlife photography from the theory of image capture, planning to post-production. We start with the theoretical and technical basics and apply them in the wonderful and unique Namibia. We discuss the photos together and go into post-processing. The goal of the trip is to return home with wonderful memories and magnificent photographs.

Windhoek
You will be picked up from the airport in Windhoek.
Check-in at Arebusch Lodge.

Day 2
Bagatelle Wildlife
After breakfast, we drive directly north to the Bagatelle Game Ranch.
First game drive in Africa. Many different animal species await us in the private nature reserve, including the shy meerkats.
We will end the evening with a relaxing sundowner.
Overnight stay at Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch.
Day 3
Quiver Tree Forest
Drive towards the southwest Kalahari to the Quiver Tree Forest, located directly near Keetmanshoop.
Accommodation at Quiver Tree Rest Camp.
Enjoy and photograph a beautiful sunset in the Quiver Tree Forest.
Followed by night photography under a breathtaking night sky with the
famous quiver trees as a motif.
Day 4
Quiver Tree Forest / Giant's Playground

Day 5
Lüderitz & Kolmanskop
Drive to the harbor town and former German colonization outpost, Lüderitz.
Afternoon photography until sunset in the legendary ghost town of Kolmanskop.
Dinner at the "Portugiese" restaurant
Overnight stay at Alte Villa.
Day 6
Wild Horses & Garub
Drive to Klein Aus Vista in Aus.
Relaxed discussion of already taken astro photos and tips on how to improve Milky Way shots at night.
Game drive at sunset to see the wild horses of the Namib Desert.
Night photography at the Garub waterhole.
Day 7
Namib Naukluft National Park
Scenic drive to Namib-Naukluft National Park to Sossus Dune Lodge.
Drive to Deadvlei (+- 1 hour before or after sunrise or sunset) for photography and sunset and Blue Hour over the gigantic dunes of the Namib.
Night photography session at the lodge.
Day 8
Namib Naukluft National Park
Drive to Deadvlei (+-1 hour before or after sunrise or sunset) for photography and sunrise over the famous trees and gigantic dunes in the Vlei.
Relaxation at the lodge.

Swakopmund
Sunrise in a hot air balloon (optional extra)
After breakfast, we head towards Swakopmund.
Arrival and check-in
Enjoy the sunset over the Atlantic during dinner at The Tug restaurant.

Day 10
Spitzkoppe
Sandwich Harbour Tour (optional): Explore the dunes of the Namib Desert as they meet the Atlantic Ocean with 4x4 vehicles (weather permitting).
Drive to the Matterhorn of Namibia, the Spitzkoppe.
Accommodation at the luxurious Spitzkoppen Lodge.
Sunset and astrophotography at abstract rock formations including the Stone Arch.
Day 11 and Day 12
Okonjima Wildlife
Sunrise at Spitzkoppe
For our last stop, we drive north to Otjiwarongo to the
Okonjima Plains Camp and the Africat Foundation. In the 22,000-hectare
wildlife reserve, located in the middle of the Namibian bush, the
Foundation primarily cares for leopards and cheetahs. During our stay
we will undertake a leopard tracking and observe the impressive animals
up close.
But of course, Okonjima not only offers cats; in addition to a variety of antelopes and zebras, giraffes, rhinos, and several hyenas also live in the large nature reserve. Wildlife photographers will therefore get their money's worth. As a special treat, we will enjoy a sundowner in the "wilderness."

Photo Equipment
The recommended photo equipment consists of a DSLR or mirrorless camera with three lenses: a fast wide-angle lens (F < 2.8), a medium zoom lens, a telephoto lens (approx. 300 mm), and a tripod. Optionally recommended: camera filters and a remote shutter release with interval function.

Clothing
Namibia has a very warm climate. Therefore, sunscreen, sunglasses, and long, light clothing, including headwear, are highly recommended. Since we will also be out at night (temperatures between 10°C and 20°C), a jacket + fleece is required. Furthermore, a thin rain jacket is advisable.
Spare socks and hiking boots are recommended.

The total price of the trip is 6900 EUR.
To book the trip, a deposit of 1700 EUR is required, and the remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the start of the trip.
The single room supplement is 600 EUR.
If a participant decides to cancel his reservation, he can do so at any time by communicating this as soon as possible via the official email address of one of the two organizers.
However, you should bear in mind that cancellation by a participant will result in administrative difficulties for bookings as well as the risk of not reaching the minimum number of participants for the trip (and consequently the need to find a new person).
For this reason:
- If the cancellation is submitted MORE than 60 days (before departure), you can receive a refund of the booking fee.
- If the cancellation is submitted LESS than 60 days before departure, it is NOT possible to receive a refund of the booking fee.
*Unless the customer who wishes to cancel his booking brings another person willing to take his place by paying the total amount of the trip himself.
If you are unable to take the tour because your country or region has travel restrictions, you will receive a full travel voucher.
The entire amount paid (deposit or full fee) will be fully refunded if the event is canceled. Exception: If a pandemic emergency situation leads to the trip being canceled within 30 days before the start of the trip due to a travel restriction by the Namibian government, 90% of the travel price will be refunded.
