Photo trip Tenerife 2021

In the heart of the Canary Archipelago, in the Atlantic Ocean, Tenerife is the largest of the seven tropical islands.
Located off the coast of Africa, the climate is pleasant almost all year round.

What makes it special is its volcanic origin, which significantly shapes the climate, vegetation and landscape:
Starting with the subtropical flowers of the coastal strip with palm trees and banana plantations, the flora of the temperate regions follows, and within a few kilometers you reach the barren high mountain landscape past extensive pine forests. On the high plateau around the 3,718 meter high Pico de Teide you end up in a fascinating volcanic landscape between abstract rock and lava formations.

Due to its island location, the trade wind climate which leads to the formation of a cloud cover at around 1000 meters and thanks to the enormous altitude of the Teide National Park of well over 2000 meters, the Canary Island of Tenerife is one of the three best places in the world, alongside the Atacama Desert and Hawaii Observing the night sky. Ideal for astrophotography!

The photo trip is aimed at all photo enthusiasts who want to discover the incredible landscapes of the island. We will visit and photograph the most beautiful places on the island and will take turns taking photos at dawn, at sunset and at night.

The difficulty of the trip is easy to moderate and sufficient fitness is required. This is a trip with a focus on photography, which means it won't be possible to eat in a restaurant every evening.

During the workshop we will study all aspects of day and night landscape photography, from theory to practice to post-production. We will start from the theoretical and technical basics and apply them to impressive photo motifs. We will then evaluate the recordings together and use various post-processing techniques. The goal is to return home with a fantastic experience and breathtaking landscape shots.
